"The Scissors and I" at Sasha Velour's NIGHTGOWNS
Daphne appears as guest chanteuse in the June 2018 edition of NIGHTGOWNS, the monthly drag revue produced by RuPaul's Drag Race Season 9 winner, Sasha Velour. She opens the show with her rewrite of Wicked's "The Wizard and I," in which she explores her feelings about elective gender-affirming surgeries, accompanied by her musical director James Sheppard.
Here, Daphne performs as the antiheroine Medea in this excerpt of Euripides' ancient Greek tragedy, translated and adapted by Julia Specht, and directed by Charles Quittner for his Tragiquilt at the New Ohio Theater.
