Daphne has worked with LGBTQIA+ storytelling series I’m From Driftwood. IFD has collected stories from queer folks in all fifty states and beyond, and their videos are watched all over the world. Here, Daphne tells the story of how she changed her stage name from Sumtimez to Always.

MIKA x Indeed x Pride

For Pride, pop singer MIKA partnered with Indeed to release a virtual concert, featuring interviews with queer people. Throughout this concert, Daphne shares thoughts about the role music played in her transition, her experience working with kids as a math and physics tutor, and what Pride means to her.

It Feels Like: Mom

Daphne joins Eunbi Kim on WNYC at the Green Space for her show It Feels Like: MOM to discuss motherhood and queerness, as well as her relationship with her own mother as a trans person. After their chat, she hops on the piano for a cover of Lindi Ortega’s “Lived and Died Alone” (by way of Shamir)!
